Yasmine Gill, a natural songstress, honed her keen ear for soul and R&B later in life after growing up listening to traditional jazz and blues records. Blending influences from contemporary artists like Snoh Aalegra and Lianne La Havas, Yasmine creates lush sonic landscapes through the honest sincerity found in her music and lyricism.
The Italian – Canadian singer-songwriter and pianist started her musical career in 2015, performing at concert venues in Montreal and Toronto. She now moved to London, UK, exploring the vibrant musical landscape and performing shows at renowned venues such as The Half Moon Putney, Braisserie Zedel, and The Ned.
Yasmine’s sophomore EP as an independent artist, If Coming Home Was Easy, explores her passion for jazz. She delves skillfully into this genre through her matured and sultry vocals and musical compositions. The EP is delicate, vulnerable and honest, deep diving into the complex emotions of grief, heartbreak and the longing for stability, something or somewhere to call home.
