Hailing from West London, Obi Franky is a talented singer-songwriter who is not only a seasoned vocalist, but also a multi-instrumentalist. She started her journey as a classically-trained pianist, however, her passion for music led her to become a self-taught guitarist and drummer.

Her eclectic taste in music has influenced her style. Still, her end sound could be labelled as soul with underlying tones of reggae and afrobeat, lending to her Jamaican and Ghanaian heritage.

Obi Franky has had the opportunity to collaborate and tour with a diverse range of artists, sharing the stage with renowned acts such as Maverick Sabre, Dego, Honey Dijon, HAAi, The Shapeshifters, Maribou State and George FitzGerald and so many more leaving an indelible mark on the music scene with her captivating performances

She is now releasing her self-penned body of work where she played all the instruments. One of the upcoming releases was co-written by Maverick Sabre and the entire project was co-produced with PRGRSHN (Stormzy, Mahalia, RAY BLK)

Having enjoyed her stripped-back set at Ellens (House of Koko) last year, she is thrilled to return to the Koko group, to perform at Cafe Koko with her 3-piece band.

This special event will be hosted by writer and poet Yomi Sode who will be having an open and honest conversation with the artist and delving deeper into the intriguing story of how this Movie-based project evolved..
